Marilyn Lee Fox (Nixon) of Toledo, age 87, passed away on April 29, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio-Toledo. She was born on March 22, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 50 years, Norman A. Fox; son, Gary N. Fox and great-granddaughter, Alle Simon. She was a graduate of Woodward High School and was employed following graduation at the former Toledo Trust Co. for several years. During the time of raising her family, she was employed part-time at the Market Research of Toledo. Later as Executive Secretary of the former P.H.C.C.A. of N.W.O.
Marilyn was a member of St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church, The Maumee Elks, Maumee Senior Center and Wolf Creek YMCA. She had also been an active member of Regina Coeli Parish in West Toledo before moving to South Toledo.
She is survived by daughter, Karen (James) Kemper; son, Terence "Terry" (Janet) Fox; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Kelly, Rachael, Nicholas, Adrienne, Gabrielle and Joshua; nine great-grandchildren, Ella, Logan, Riley, Josiah, Landon, Chase, Jace, Layne and Blake.
The family will receive guests from 3-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). A Scripture Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
