Marilyn A. Gilleo

March 26, 1944 — January 29, 2015

Marilyn A. Gilleo, age 70, of Sylvania was promoted to glory on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice Residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 26, 1944 to Leroy and Etta (Sullivan) Gilleo in Newport, Rhode Island. Marilyn retired from the Salvation Army in Newport and was a longtime active member of the Salvation Army church in Providence, Rhode Island.

Marilyn will always be remembered for her loving spirit, the ease in which she became and welcomed friends, her endearing smile, quick wit and her love and dedication to her family and the Lord. She will be deeply missed by all her knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Pat Gilleo and Ruth Sylvia. Marilyn is survived by her loving children, Robert (Pattie) Caster, Wayne (Dori) Gilleo and Michele (Douglas) Holan; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Lee Gilleo; sister Helen (Ed) Bizzarri; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the caring community at Anthony House in Portsmouth, Rhode Island; to the loving and compassionate staff at Lake Park; and to Ebeid Hospice.

There will be no visitation or services for Marilyn per her wishes, The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
