Marietta F. "MeMaw" Bernhard
Marietta F. Bernhard, age 96, of Toledo, passed away Friday, June 12th, 2009 at Darlington House. One of 8 children Marietta was born July 25th, 1912 in Toledo, Ohio. She was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years. Marietta enjoyed family gatherings playing board games and bowling. She was a loving mother and grandmother and cherished the time she was able to spend with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marietta was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Bernhard; daughter, Carolyn Sutter and longtime companion, Demetrio Rodriguez. She is survived by her children, Richard (Eddy Grace) Bernhard; Marilyn (Ron) Lee; Clarence "Tiny" (Donna) Bernhard; Clifford (Marianne) Bernhard; Damaris (Jim) Turski; Judy (Joe) Rogacki and David (Linda) Bernhard; brother, Ferdanard Miller; sister, Roberta Eggert; 28 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Friday from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Willow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Marietta Bernhard Memorial Fund c/o David Bernhard
Marietta will be sadly missed by her loving family.
