Marie Love, 83, was born March 28, 1935 to the late Henry and Livonia Thomas in Helena, Arkansas. She passed away peacefully July 16, 2018 at the Laurels of Toledo.
As a young woman she married Frank Love after his time served in the United States Military, in the Korean War. They went on to live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Chicago, Illinois and then to Toledo, Ohio. They had two sons, Frank and Mario.
Throughout her life she practiced her Christian faith; attended Mount Pilgrim Church before becoming ill. She was a hard worker and worked various jobs to provide for her family; Bartender, Cleaner, Nurses aid and Teachers Aide. Her interest included singing, sewing, home decorating and writing poems; A few of which have been published.
Marie goes to join her brothers Henry and Charles Thomas; Sister, Esseye Lee Thomas. She is survived by her Husband, Frank Love Sr.; Sons, Frank (Christine) Love and Mario Love; Sisters, Willa May Minley and Cleo Luckett; Grandchildren, Angela Love, Danielle Love, Astata Love, April Love, Mario Love Jr., Diorginick Love, and Kaja Reese; Four Great-Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, and friends.
The family will receive guests on Monday, July 23, 2018 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with an invitation to join the family for dinner following services.
