Marie Fennewald

Marie B. Fennewald, age 90, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Sunday, June 24, 2012 in the Orchard Villa Care Center in Oregon, Ohio. She was born May 15, 1922 in Theon, Texas to Frederick and Mary Ann (Janosec) Domel. Marie married Wilfred H. Fennewald October 7, 1950 in Corn Hill, Texas. Marie, or Nana, loved to cook and bake for her friends and family. She always poured her love into all her creations. Her Placek, Kolaches, Honey cookies and Cheese balls were loved by all. She enjoyed gardening, canning vegetables and making her own delicious pickle relish. She also loved spending time at their lake home near Angola, Indiana and playing pinochle or canasta with friends. Marie was also a parishioner of St. Clement Catholic Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, W. James (Cindra) Fennewald and Marie A. (Timothy) Mikolajczyk; grandchildren, Mariah (Henry Jr.) Schuster, Joshua (Nettie) Fennewald, Marie (Christopher) Gaertner, Matthew (Heidi) Mikolajczyk and Andrew Fennewald; great grandchildren, Carsen Schuster, McKenna Gaertner, Noah Fennewald and Gavin Gaertner; siblings, Martha Jacobson, Albina Keszler, Joseph Domel and Louis Domel. In addition to her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by her sister, Frieda Bird.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo (419-473-0300) where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
