Marie "Tess" Ethridge, age 66 of Toledo, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Ebeid Hospice.
Tess was born on August 16, 1949 in Toledo to John and Jane (Walsh) Thiel. Tess was a nurse for over 40 years, working at both St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, and Promedica Flower Hospital for a combined 30 years. She finished her career working for Vision Associates, retiring after 15 years of service.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Anne Wilde, and her grandson, Liam Ethridge. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Harold (David), son Matthew (Kelly) Ethridge, sisters Jane (Craig) Wagner, Ceci (Larry) Gladieux, Rita Lewis, brother, Jim (Lin) Reed, and grandchildren, Johnathan, Brandon, Austin, Colin, and Makayla.
The family will receive guests from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 29,2015, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laksey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Rosary Service will begin in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, November 30,2015, at 9:00 a.m. followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2240 Castlewood Drive Toledo, Ohio 43613 . Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
