Marie Davis

Marie S. Davis, age 85, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2006 at Heartland of Holly Glen Nursing Home. She was born on September 6, 1920 in Toledo. She enjoyed music and spending time with her family. Marie was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II as a nurse.

She is survived by her daughters: Rose Mack, Sharon Carter, Beverly Carpenter, Madelon Douglas and Diane Davis; sons: William, Gearld (LouAnn), Winfred, Ronald (Rochelle), Carlton and Keith Davis; 36 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; niece: Alfreda Parks; nephew: Larry Parks; and great niece: Leslie Avery.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Mae Avery and brothers, Lawrence and Albert Parks.

The family will receive guests on Friday, January 13, 2006 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
