Marian E. Williams

Marian E. Williams, age 87, of Temperance, went to be with her Lord, Monday, May 28, 2012 at home. She was born on June 7, 1924 to George and Anna (Strub) Gruber in Sandusky, Ohio. Marian was a member of Calvary Bible Chapel. She enjoyed playing cards, had a great sense of humor and loved nothing more than spending time with her family. She was the "Rock" that held them together and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Williams; son, Larry Williams; granddaughter, Laura Benien; brother, Eugene; and sisters, Ruth and Virginia. Marian is survived by her loving daughters, Linda (Bill) Meyer and Lori (Ken) Sorge; daughter-in-law, Lesta Williams; grandchildren, Larry (Karen), Jim (Jodi), Todd (Angel), Amy (Dusty), Neil (Lauren), Chad (Emily), Sonia (Jamie), Matt and Scott (Molly); 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Terry and Shirley (Richard) Hiszak; sister-in-law, Geri Gruber; dog, Lolly; kitty, Shewster; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
