Marian A. Ball

Marian A. Ball, age 83, passed away Sunday, October 23rd, 2011 where she was surrounded by her loving family at Ridgewood Manor in Maumee. She was born on August 2nd, 1928 to Theodore and Estella Mae (Roberts) Harmer in Toledo. Marian's pride and joy was caring for her family and for that they are grateful for everything that she provided to them over the years. She was known for hosting the holiday dinners and preparing many of the delicious meals. While she lived at Ridgewood Manor she enjoyed attending and participating in the social activities with her fellow residents. Her family will remember her as a loving and supportive mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jim (Sharon) Ball, Allen (Mary Jo) Ball and Diane Somers; grandchildren, James Ball, Lori Geiman and Melissa Clark, Daniel, David, Chad and Jay Ball; Julie Frey and Ben Somers; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Walter (Emma) Harmer; dear friend, Esther; special nieces, Janis, Pat, Sue, Brenda and a host of many more nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James in 1981; brothers, Dick, Floyd, Gail and sister, Gloria.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Promedica Hospice.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

The family would like to specially thank the nursing staff at Ridgewood Manor and Promedica Hospice for the diligent care and love they provided to Marian.
