Mari-Anne M. Bondy

Mari-Anne “Gigi” (Meiner) Bondy, 63, passed away at the Merit House in Toledo on January 7, 2025, after an illness. Gigi was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt – and a friend to many. She was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers fan and she held a special place in her heart for animals. Gigi was known for her fun-loving and feisty personality.

Born May 1, 1960, Gigi attended Whitmer High School and was well known in Toledo from her work as a server and bartender at local pubs. In her passing, Gigi joins in the afterlife her longtime companion, John Rowan; mother, Ann Franco; father, William Meiner; grandmother, Anna Neidert; brothers, Rob Meiner and Mike Meiner; and sister, Patricia Cook. She is survived by her nieces and nephews and her grand-nieces and grand-nephews, whom she loved.

A celebration of life for Gigi was held by family and friends on January 9, 2025. The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and staff at Merit House for their kindness and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the charity of your choosing are welcome.
