Marguerite Mae Mccloud

Marguerite M. McCloud of Toledo, Ohio passed away at home on January 30, 2014, surrounded by family members and under the care of hospice. She was born in Kenton, Ohio on January 2, 1921 to Harry and Elsie (Pugh) Jones.

Marguerite married Ralph E. McCloud on July 27th, 1941 in Kenton, Ohio and that union endured for 72 years. During her lifetime, Marguerite worked at the election booth for over 25 years, and also worked at Montgomery Ward and Lamsons. She was active in her children's activities at school, and she was a member of the YWCA Young Matrons.

She and Ralph have been members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for 53 years. She was active with her many friends in the "Soul Group", and enjoyed attending the Seniors Group.

Maggie also enjoyed spending time with her 3 children and their families, and she was an excellent cook, mother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband Ralph, daughters Sharon (David) Mall of Toledo, and Janet Barta of Pioneer, and son-in law Dennis Rose, Twinsburg. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Jennifer Mall, Aaron (Lynn) Mall, Jason Mall, Natalie and Lauren Rose, and Andrea (Mark) Hoorman, and 6 great grandchildren (Hayley, Maggie, Payton, Avery, Christina, and Cole).

Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents, sister - Kathryn Paxson, daughter Cindy Rose, and Son-in-Law Tom Barta.

Memorial contributions would be welcome at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1825 Glendale Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43614 with luncheon to follow.
