Margaret M. Zappone

Margaret was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on June 7, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born to Lawrence and Margarette Von Ahrens on November 12, 1943. Shortly after graduating from Springfield High School, she married her loving husband, John Zappone, on November 18, 1961. Together they had three children: Julie, Joe, and John. Margaret and John built a legacy that will continue to grow from generation to generation. The memories made and values passed on ensure the beautiful light Margaret brought to the world will continue to shine.

She is survived by her brother, Richard Von Ahrens; children, Julie (Tim), Joe (Stacie), and John (Kerry Puhl); grandchildren, Zak (Julia), Josh (Andrea), John, Alex (Becca), Christine (Kiersten), Jesse (Mark), Ashley (Jason) and eight great grandchildren.

She peacefully joined her husband, John, their infant son, John, her parents, and siblings.

Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home's Southwest Chapel 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. on Wednesday, June 12th, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Services will be Thursday, June 13th, at 11:00 a.m. with burial at Springfield Township Cemetery in Holland, Ohio. Followed by a Luncheon will follow at The Lodge at Strawberry Acres,950 S. McCord Rd. Holland, Ohio
