Margaret Ann (Thiel) Spino

Margaret Ann (Thiel) Spino, age 85, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 5, 2020 at home with loving family by her side. She was born on October 17, 1934 to Joseph and Bernadette (Neumann) Thiel in Toledo. Margaret was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1952. She was an LPN for many years before retiring in 1996. Margaret was a longtime member of OLPH. Margaret enjoyed gardening and was an animal lover. She was always taking care of others, very generous and had a heart of gold. Margaret loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her smile, spirit and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Thiel. Margaret is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Belcher, Valerie (Jeff) Raitz and Anthony (Kathy) Spino; grandchildren, Richard (Regina) Spino, Jamie (Jonathan) Nadaud, Joe (Judith) Belcher, John (Alix) Belcher, Jacob (Kaitlin) Raitz, Jonathan (Sunni) Raitz and Justin Raitz; great-grandchildren, Shawn, Sara, Trayce, Trevin, Nathan, Nadiya, Gus, Cora, Gavin, Adam, and Kali; sisters-in-law, Patricia Thiel and Anna Lou Spino; many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests, Monday, June 29, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 2255 Central Grove, Toledo, OH 43614, with a celebration luncheon to follow.

Newcomer – Southwest Chapel, Toledo (419-381-1900) assisted the family with professional services.
