Margaret L. Lehsten

Margaret "Margie" L. Lehsten, age 88, a lifetime resident of Toledo, passed away Friday, January 7th, 2011 at her home. She was born December 15th, 1922 to Leo and Angeline (Minning) McCarthy in Toledo. Margie was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was also a longtime parishioner of St. Clement Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, Margie was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, John L. Lehsten; sons, Thomas and James Lehsten and great granddaughter, Faith Ann Lehsten. Margie is survived by her children, Judith (Walt) Piotrowski, David (Kerry) and John (Cheryl) Lehsten; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and brother, Paul (Rita) McCarthy and daughters-in-law: Barbara and Trudy Lehsten.

The family will receive guests Monday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with a Scripture Service beginning at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Officiating will be Fr. Michael Brown. Interment will be at St. Rose Cemetery, Perrysburg, Ohio.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association or to the American Arthritis Foundation.
