Margaret L. Ewing

Margaret L. Ewing, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Ebeid Hospice Residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 2, 1934 to Clarence and Margaret (Dolan) Young in Toledo. Margaret was a longtime member of Hopewell Wesylan Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping and church get-togethers. Margaret loved family holiday get-togethers and was an excellent cook. She was a devoted, loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert L. Ewing, Sr.; sons, Donald (Dianne) and Richard (Sherry) Ewing; daughters, Sharon (Jim) Ball, Betty (Tom) Barron and Linda (Daniel) Sherburne; grandchildren, Jimmy (Angie), Lori (Rob), Missy (Jeff), Michelle (Greg), J.R., Jamie (Danielle), Chris, Matt (Amiee) and Lisa; great-grandchildren, Amber, Austin, Jack, Michael, Taylor, Jonathan, Kayla, Brandon, Logan, Corey, Luke, Riley, Kora Bell, Aubree, Caleb and Alexa; great-great-grandson, Liam; and sister-in-law, Irene Young; her feline companions, Angel, Molly, Mama, Tiger and Blackie; grand dogs, Scrappy, Snoopy and Tipper; and grand kittens, Oliver and Molly

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Robert L. Ewing, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Amy Ewing; and grandson, Robert Ewing, June 30, 2014; brothers, Clarence, Jr. and Donald Young; sisters, Geraldine Rife; step-sister, Betty Karns; step-brothers, Frank and Floyd Cleveland.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
