Margaret E. "Peg" Graber, 96, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away peacefully May 7, 2014 in the company of family.
Peg was born February 10, 1918 to John J. and Matilda (Grime) Smith of Garrett, Indiana. She attended St. Vincent School of Nursing and worked for many years at Westgate Laboratory of Pathology in Toledo, Ohio.
Peg married James F. "Jim" Graber on August 3, 1940. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a friend to many, an avid reader,
and looked forward to Card Night every Friday.
In addition to her parents, Peg was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim; brother, Harold Smith; and her three daughters, Margaret M. Graber, Linda G. (Timothy) Sterns, and Mary (Michael) Coppens.
She is survived by her son-in-law Timothy Sterns; grandchildren, Kathleen and Brian (Allison) Sterns; and seven great-grandchildren, Ellen, Molly, Kathryn, Jacob, William, Timothy, and Bridget.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 4605 St. Anthony Rd, Temperance, Michigan, followed by an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass Celebration. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.
