Marcia Anne Parsons

Marcia Anne Parsons, age 81, of Perrysburg, OH, most recently a resident of Abundant Life of Perrysburg, passed away February 25, 2025 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Toledo. She was born December 12, 1943 in Cleveland, OH to Glen C and Helen (Collins) Thorp. Marcia was raised on the family farm in Westlake. The family moved to Columbia Station, and then landed in Marblehead, Ohio when her family purchased the former Saylor’s Restaurant.

Marcia graduated from Danbury High School in 1961. From her marriage to Joseph J Ontko they had two children, Samuel and Teresa. She later graduated from Sandusky Business School. Marcia lived in Southwest Florida for 30 years. While living in Florida she was employed and retired from Manheim Auto Auction in Fort Myers. Marcia returned to Ohio in 2017 and became an active, involved member of the resident community at Abundant Life, making many friends and truly enjoying her final years, especially in sharing her artistic talents creating paintings for friends and family. 

In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her former husband, Joseph J Ontko; and brother, Kenneth G Thorp. She is survived by her son, Samuel Ontko; daughter, Teresa Ontko; sister, Lois Porath; brother, Thomas (Le Ann) Thorp ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
In accordance with Marcia's wishes there will be no visitation or services.
