Marcia A.(Gerasimiak) Drayton

Marcia A. (Gerasimiak) Drayton, age 62, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born March 5, 1946 to John and Stella Gerasimiak in Toledo. Marcia was a 1965 graduate of Woodward High School and worked for several years at the former Health and Retiree Center. She was an avid Ohio State fan following both the football and basketball teams every season. Marcia enjoyed spending time outside watching birds of all kinds, including bald eagles. Most importantly, she cherished time she was able to spend with her family and friends laughing and enjoying each others' company.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Michael D. Drayton; daughter, Jennifer Drayton and her husband Conrad Schroeder and son, Gary Drayton; brothers, Kenneth and Richard (Barbara) Gerasimiak. Marcia will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Officiating will be Fr. Mike Brown. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
