Manuel "Manny" Jesus Vasquez, Jr. age 50, of Toledo, passed away October 15, 2024 at University of Toledo Medical Center with his loving wife by his side. He was born June 16, 1974 in Toledo to Manuel, Sr. and Victoria (Anaya) Vasquez. Manny worked as a Cable Technician for many years serving the local Toledo area. He loved rooting for his favorite football teams Ohio State University and the Dallas Cowboys. He adored spending time with his wife and daughters but especially loved being around his grandsons. He enjoyed playing Mortal Kombat and sports video games on his Xbox. He dedicated his time coaching basketball for special needs adults at Lott Industries. He was very passionate about sports. He had a smile that would light up a room and a great sense of humor. Manny was kind and a great man that will be loved and missed by everyone who knew him.
Manuel was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Vasquez, Sr., maternal grandparents Reuben and Victoria Anaya and paternal grandparents Manuel and Petra Vasquez. He is survived by his wife, Janice M. Vasquez; mother, Victoria (Al) Ludeman; daughters, Alexandria Vasquez, Serenity Wittman, Sydney Wittman and Jayli Vasquez; grandchildren, Gabriel, Ezekiel and Rafael Vasquez; sister, Melanie (Mike) Hall; brother, Mathew (Christina) Vasquez, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his canine companion Brutus.
The family will receive guests Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
