Maggie L. Metzler

Maggie Leona Metzler, age 87, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, March 7th, 2009 at her home. She was born July 6th, 1921 to Walter and Susan (Johnson) Kimberlin in Clairefield, Tennessee. Maggie was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family. She was also a longtime member of Faith Bible Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Maggie was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Metzler, Sr.; infant son, Francis Metzler; daughters, Tommie Dunlap; Brenda Adkins and Sandra Pierce. Maggie is survived by her loving children, Virginia (Lonnie)Lay; Grace (Richard)Trumbull; Daisy (Edward) Wheeler; Mary (Wayne) Stinnette; Kimberly (James) McGuire; Nicki (Russell) Ball and Claude Metzler; sister, Martha Chadwell; 37 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Goodman. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Waterville,OH.
