Madeline Kamer
July 26, 1916 — June 4, 2014
Madeline Kamer, age 97, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2014. She was born on July 26, 1916 to the late Flossie and Joseph Kimerer in Swanton, Ohio.
Madeline was a former member of Waterville Garden Club and of Zion Lutheran Church of Waterville. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by her siblings, Max, Voy, Rhodie and Oren. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Connie Ashbaugh, Carole Chalinski, Dennis (Sandy), Corinne and Kent; sister, Othella Hoyt; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the caring staff at Otterbein, especially Dana. Also a special thank you to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
Memorial Tributes may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, June 8, 2014 from 4-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Burial will take place at Smith Cemetery in Fulton County.
