Madeline V. Hoye, age 77 of Toledo, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 24, 1934 to Salvatore and Lucille (Noturno) Giovannucci in Canton, Ohio. Despite suffering from Parkinson disease for over 40 years ago, she remained a devoted and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Most important to Madeline was her family and she often put their needs before her own. In her spare time she enjoyed tending to her flower garden, singing and embracing her Italian heritage. Her family will remember her impeccable memory when it came to remembering her family's important milestone dates. Madeline was also a member of Reformation Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Joe (Shirley), Lucy (Rob) Young, John (Sara), Michael (Janis), Bob (Lisa), Chris (Beth); sister, Marietta Kruse-Wells; grandchildren, Rachel, Josh, Jessica, Victoria, Shannon, Kelley, Kristen, Daniel, Emilie, Abbe, Jonathon, Malachi, Madeline, Isaac, Katie (Mark), Anthony, Nina, Ashleigh, Megan (Therron), Grace, Brandon; great-grandchildren, Meredith, Tara, Madelana, Justice, Myles, Christian, Dayton and Ava. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph E. Hoye, Jr. on January 24, 2012; sister, Georgena Boggs and brother, Joseph Giovannucci.
The family will receive guests Thursday from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church, 4543 Douglas Rd., Toledo, Ohio with visitation one hour prior to the funeral service.
The family would like to specially thank the nursing staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the love and diligent care they provided to Madeline.
