Mack &Quot;Papa&Quot; Martin

Surrounded by his loving family on May 7, 2007, Mack passed away peacefully to be with his Heavenly Father at the age of 72. He was a veteran, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. Mack was employed with Roadway Express for 30 years receiving numerous awards and recognitions. He was also a member of Local 20. Mack was a dedicated member of Lewis Avenue Baptist Church in Temperance. He was a very caring person who loved to help others and often volunteered to drive the bus as well as sing with the choir. Mack will be remembered for being a loving, kind, and generous husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was known for always having a joke to tell.

Mack was preceded in death by his parents. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 47 years, Judy (Hawkey) Martin; sons, Bill (Michelle) Martin of Waterville and Tim (Debbie) Martin of Temperance; daughter, Melissa (Al) Bricker of Sylvania; grandchildren, Timmy; Tyler; Betsy; Haley and Katie Martin; Alan Jr. and Nikole Bricker; brothers, Royce (Genny) Martin; Charles (Margaret) Martin; Jack (Lenore) Martin; James (Marilyn) Martin and Johnny (Linda) Martin and sisters, Anna (Frank) Burkhart; Theresa (Gene) Stephens and Jenny (Jim) Strabic, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Thursday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) and Friday from 10-11:00 a.m. at Lewis Avenue Baptist Church, 6320 Lewis Ave. Funeral Services will begin Friday at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Les Hobbins. Interment to follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
