Machell Lee Naimy

October 12, 1966 — February 12, 2022

Machell Lee (Sloan) Naimy, 55, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 12, 2022. Machell was born October 12, 1966 in Wauseon, OH to Donna J. & Stan L. Sloan.

She married the love of her life, Nimate Rafiat Naimy, both raising 3 gentlemen and 1 young woman. Her sons, Joseph "Joe" Rafiat Nimate, Joshua "Josh" Nimate, Gabriel "Gabe" Nimate, and daughter, Arlaina "Lainy" Machell Naimy; followed by Joe and Alexa Naimy's 4 children, Maddy "Momo", Rafiat "Rafie", Marcella "Marcie", and Joseph Jr. "Joey".

Machell graduated from Genoa High School in the mid 1980's and went on to get her college education at Owens Community College. In 1986, she had attended disco night at the local pub where Machell met her husband, Nimate "Franko". They were married for an amazing, fun, and adventurous 35 years. Throughout her time here on earth she had four amazing children and grandchildren. Machell's children were her world and the grandchildren were the ultimate joy of her life. She had traveled around the world and seen everything that the world has to offer. Machell loved to garden around her home planting flowers wherever and whenever she could. She also loved going to the art museum and attending pottery or jewelry classes.

Machell and her mother were very close. She would share the joys of her life; children, grandchildren, and life stories together. They enjoyed fun filled days of going on shopping sprees and having lunch together.

Her accomplishments and pride were always raising her children and seeing what the world had to offer for them. Her first born, Joseph, was her strength, wisdom, friend, and motivation. Machell helped raise him to be the man he is today because of her love and compassion. In the early 90's, she went through a rough patch when she had her second son, Joshua, who was born with a heart defect. The challenges that she had to endure during that time made her stronger. Josh was her quiet, loving, and artistic child. Her third son, Gabriel, was her rambunctious child, but like her had a heart of gold and put anyone before himself. He always knew how to make her laugh when she was down. Lastly, in the early 2000's she was blessed with a baby girl, Arlaina, who gave her everything that she ever wanted, someone that she could spoil and pamper. She put her family first with everything that she did with no regrets.

Machell enjoyed her life with the limited time she had. She experienced more things in her lifetime with her family; maintaining old/new friendships along her journey. She always knew how to make a bad day good with a smile and always protected the ones she loved. Machell will forever be remembered by the ones who loved her and will be in their hearts and minds as a beautiful, strong, and intelligent woman that does not take "NO" from anyone.
