Lynn Ellen (Tholl) Smith

Lynn Ellen (Tholl) Smith, 67, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020, surrounded by her family. Lynn was born on September 25, 1953 at St. Charles Hospital, Oregon, Ohio to the late John and Ellen (Ireland) Tholl.

Lynn graduated from Libby High School in 1972 and after various jobs in the service industry found her calling in working with developmentally disabled individuals at Anne Grady Corporation for 25 years. In her home life, Lynn enjoyed camping, crafting, spending time with her pets and selling items at flea markets. Her family was her pride and joy and she could always be found bringing way too many desserts to every gathering.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry, daughter, Melissa Tholl (Cathy Amburn), Gerald (Candace) Smith, Jr., grandson, Tyler Smith, step-grandchildren Hunter, Jacob, and Ryleigh Amburn, aunt, Phyllis Ireland, sister, Karen (Calvin) Hoffer, nieces Gretchen (Mike) Densic, Jennifer (Duane) Heinze, nephew Matthew (Beth) Hoffer, great nieces Lauren (Hans) Schober, Jessica Densic, Alexandra Hoffer, great nephew Joel (Abby) Densic, Samuel Heinze, Nathaniel Heinze, and Isaac Hoffer, and one year old Great-Great Niece Julia Schober. Missing her greatly will be grand-puppies Jaxson and Maddy.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellen, as well as grandson, Isaiah Smith.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 9th, from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) and Thursday morning, December 10th until 10:00 a.m. Services will be private for family only, following Wednesday morning visitation. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Kidney Foundation or Planned Pethood, in honor of Lynn's life.
