Lambertville, Michigan

Lynn Marie Schardt, age 73, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was born on November 13, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late James E. and Mary M. (Hakeos) Collins.

A proud graduate of Bedford Senior High School, class of 1968, Lynn's journey through life was marked by her strong work ethic. She built her own successful business as a housekeeper, where her attention to detail and dedication to her clients spoke volumes about her character.

Lynn had a passion for life that extended beyond her career. Her interests were as colorful and vibrant as the autumn leaves she adored. An avid bird watcher and mushroom hunter, she found immense joy in the wonders of nature. She cherished quiet moments by the campfire, surrounded by loved ones and the soothing sounds of nature.

A true Elvis enthusiast, Lynn was known for her love of music, which filled her home with joy and nostalgia. The joy of the fall season, with its warm sweaters and cozy gatherings, and the magic of Christmas, with its sparkle and family traditions, were times she held close to her heart.

As we remember Lynn, we honor the legacy of kindness and love she leaves behind. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her, a reminder of the beautiful connections woven through family, friendship, and the simple joys in life.

A cherished soul known for her unwavering love for family and her zest for life, she will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her lifelong love of her life, Carl Schardt; children, Lee (Sally Taylor) Schardt and Jennifer (Arik) Brinkmeier; grandson, Jacob Fournier; step-grandchildren, Kira, Evan, and Savannah Brinkmeier; siblings, Jody (Ed) Halter, Jim (Brenda) Collins, Tammy Dowell, and Patrick Collins; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her brothers, Duane Collins and Dennis Collins; and a brother-in-law, Walter Dowell.

A memorial gathering and service will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lynn’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
