Luis Alfonso Munguia

Luis Alfonso Munguia, age 50, of Toledo, Ohio passed away October 29, 2024 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born October 27, 1974 in Mangagua, Nicaragua to Alfonso and Xiomara Munguia. Luis was a proud U.S. Navy veteran and served as Sergeant with the Owens Department of Public Safety. 

He was very hardworking, fiercely dedicated and the strongest person you would ever meet, who would never give up. Luis' smile and laugh were contagious, he loved and cared for people with his entire being. He knew how to make anyone and everyone feel loved and cared for and always made you feel like you truly mattered. Luis' would be there for whoever needed him, even putting everyone before himself. He was truly the light of every event and made friends everywhere he went. 

 Luis is survived by his wife, Leticia Munguia; children, Isabel, Gabriela, Marshel and Sadie; grandchildren, Wyatt, Charlotte and Juliet; sisters, Nalany, Jacqueline, Johanna and Nancy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Xiomara Munguia.

The family will receive guests, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The U.S. Navy will perform military honors Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
