Lugena was born April 23, 1946, in Yazoo City, Mississippi to Walter and Maggie Boles. She transitioned on November 28, 2022, at Toledo Hospital.
Aunt Jean had a heart of gold with unconditional love. She would do anything for family and friends. She loved gathering with family for holidays, birthdays and just because. Her greatest passion was spending time at the casino. Jean had a gorgeous smile that would light up a room, she was incredibly beautiful inside and out.
Lugena was preceded in death by her parents Walter, Sr. and Maggie Boles, brothers; Walter, Jr., Holly, and Oliver Mitchell; sisters; Beatrice Pacely and Everlean Green; niece Princess, nephew Andrew Anderson.
She leaves to cherish memories, sister Clara Anderson, sister-in-law Ethel Mitchell; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces, and nephews along with extended family and friends.
The family will receive guests Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at People's Missionary Baptist Church, 1101 Heston Street, Toledo, OH 43607.
