Lucille "Lucy" Grace Skiver, age 94, of Temperance, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, at Hickory Ridge in Temperance. She was born August 15, 1929, in Monroe County, Michigan, to the late Lawrence and Eleanor (Clark) Dashner.

Lucy worked as a nurse aid at Golden Haven Assisted Living for 12 years. A woman of faith, she would attend church with her son. Lucy loved tending to her garden, where she would grow delicious vegetables. She was very talented at knitting and would knit sweaters and slippers for her grandchildren. Most of all, family was most important. Her smile, love, and generosity will forever be missed. This is not goodbye, but we will see you again!

Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving children, Sandra Harmon-Kruse, Darrell Skiver, Bonnie Skiver, and David Skiver; grandchildren, Lori Brooks, Rick, Kevin, Dana, and Jonathan; siblings, Dale and Larry Dashner; sister-in-law, Barb Dashner; great-grandchildren Trisha, Matthew, Christian, Noah, Elizabeth, Zachary, Damien, Cassandra, Madeline, Thedoris, Eliazar, Ricky, and Daniel and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Floyd, Walter, Carl, Barry, and Clyde, Robert "Red" and Donald Dashner; and two sister-in-law's, Elaine and Ruth Dashner.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Monday, April 1, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, where a funeral service will be at 12:00 pm. Following the service, Lucy will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park.
