Lucille Arthur, age 85, passed away peacefully, April 7, 2012 at Orchard Villa Nursing Home. She was born on January 27, 1927 to Carlton and Nona Hildebrand in Toledo. Lucille was a longtime member of Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. She was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians. Lucille enjoyed cross words, crocheting and sewing; having made many items for her children and grandchildren over the years. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who affectionately knew her as "Budda." Lucille will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; great-grandson, Tyler Werstein; brothers, Carlton "Cocky" and Clayton Hildebrand; and sisters, Imogene Fishman and Eileen Berning. Lucille is survived by her loving daughters, Patsy (Leonard) Jacobs and Lynn (Ron) Wells; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Renee), Tamara, Bethany (Ryan), Rebecca and Bradley; and great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Marissa, Nathan, Austin, Caleb and Analysia.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Lucille's life will be held Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Saviour, 2820 W. Alexis Rd., Toledo, OH 43613 with a gathering one hour prior. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
