Lucas James Gloyd

Lucas James "Luke" Gloyd, age 31, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was born on June 13, 1983 to Raymond and Betty (Bryant) Karibian in Toledo. Luke graduated from Whitmer High School, Class of 2001 and also from Owen's Community College with an Associates in Science. A true passion of Luke's was cars, especially Japanese Hot-Rods and he was a member of "Caught Ya Lookin" Car Club in Toledo. He was also a lifetime fan of WWE and collecting special edition Hot Wheel cars.

Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Raymond (Tonie) Gloyd and Betty (Michael) Karibian; grandmother, Dorothy Bryant; many aunts, uncles, cousins, especially Ricky; step-sisters; a host of friends and best friends, Josh, Steve and Corey. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Cora Gloyd and maternal grandfather, Henry Bryant.

The family will receive guests on Friday, August 15, 2014 from 2-6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
