Lowell W. Kelb, age 91, of Maumee, Ohio passed away February 17, 2015 at Lakes of Monclova. He was born March 23, 1923 in Toledo, Ohio to Walter and Myrtle (Dorr) Kelb. Lowell served his country in the US Army Air Force in the 9th Air Force, 406th Fighter Group as a Crew Chief, Advanced Air Echelon and went in at Omaha Beach, France. He was awarded the following medals, French and Belgian Croix de Guerre, Presidential Unit Citations, six battle stars and one bronze star. He was employed as a Tool and Die Maker for 8 ½ years in Management for the Chrysler Corporation. Lowell was a 32 degree Mason and was a member of the Blue Lodge, F. & AM # 209in Sylvania, Ohio.
Lowell is survived by his wife of 69 years whom he married January 31, 1946, Norma (Parker) Kelb; daughter, Susan Langenderfer; grandchildren, Stephen (Buffy) Kelb, Jennifer Langenderfer, Heather (Kelly) Dowling, Benjamin (Abby) Langenderfer and Sarah Kelb; great-grandchildren, Alexander, Austin, Zachary, Bradley and Nancy; brother, Walter "Bud" (Evelyn) Kelb, Jr.; brothers-in-law, Robert Dietsch and Gary Parker. In addition to his parents, Lowell was preceded in death by his son, Roger Kelb and sister, Marjorie Dietsch.
