Louise M. Jarouche

June 28, 1934 — June 3, 2017

Louise (Craig) Jarouche

Born, June 28th 1934, Huntsville, Alabama her first chapter unraveled, a small town girl with a big heart. In a different era of time, she would spend these next few chapters working hard to help her family get by.

After moving to Toledo, Ohio in 1956. Alongside her husband Khalil Jarouche, she would raise five wonderful children, Beverly, Dwight, Shelby, Carolyn, and Tina.

This strong, driven woman went on to own and operate Mildred's Beauty Salon. She would later go on to instruct at Ma'Chere Beauty Academy. Miss "Marie" as she was known was adored by all her students.

Constantly overcoming every obstacle thrown at her, she kept her head up, and standing right there in front of her would be the love of her life, Khalil Jarouche. He would spend every second of every day with her giving her exactly the love she had so long searched for, and absolutely deserved. They would spend 47 incredible years together.

East Toledo Baptist Church, under the direction of Brother Benefield, helped instill a strong love of Jesus in her children. She was always the go to person, not only for hair, but just about everything. If you needed help, she was there. She raised her children under the same beliefs of selflessness, and understanding. Always reminding them the importance of family, respect, self-love, and charity. Never one to have her hand out, unless she was helping you up in times of trouble, both literally, and metaphorically.

Her legacy in life was love, through everyone she touched. In the most simplistic, yet complex way, love brought her through the hardest times one could face. But also brought her the most happiness one could ever imagine, or dream of. She taught us all, no matter what you're given, be grateful for it, nourish it, and turn it into something beautiful. And most importantly, there is no obstacle in this world big enough to ever stop you from obtaining love, and happiness.

Louise, turned hardship into opportunity, challenge into success, discouragement into inspiration, and always, frowns into smiles. Though her later years faded memories, they, as will she, live on through all those near and dear to her.

Surrounded by her family, on 06/03/2017, she would peacefully leave our arms to forever be with our heavenly father.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Ivey; husband, Khalil "Leo" Jarouche; son, Dwight Craig; grandson, Jimmy Lambert; sister, Catherine Skelton; brother, William Davis; and her beloved dogs, Bronson I, Bronson II, and Bronson III. Louise is survived by her loving daughters, Beverly (Joe) Mattoni, Shelby Craig, Carolyn Hall and Tina (Terry) Storer; step-son, Michael Jarouche; grandchildren, Tracy, Michelle, Dwight Jr., Michael, Michelle, Ryan, Brittany, Eli, and Faith; many great-grandchildren; brother, Voyd "Buddy" Jackson; and many other family members and dear friends.
