Louis Paul Greenburg, age 83, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away, Sunday, April 10th, 2011 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Louis was born November 23rd, 1927 to Louis and Louella (Reider) Greenburg in Toledo. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving his country proudly. Louis was a Pharmaceutical Salesman for several years, as well as being in sales with The Genesee Brewing Company for more than 20 years. After retiring, he was a driver for Dresch-Tolson for awhile. Louis was a longtime member of The Exchange Club and a volunteer with R.S.V.P. He was also an avid golfer. Most importantly, Louis was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, cherishing the time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Merrylee (Burr) Greenburg; daughter, Debbie Szalkowski, great grandson, Jackson and siblings, Helen, Morrie, Chuck and Ginny. Louis is survived by his twin daughters, Terri (Bryan) West and Sherri (Mark) Shadix-Griffith; grandchildren, Megan, Lindsay, Lauren, Cody, Logan, Levi and T.J.; great grandchildren, Tatum, Conner, Mackenzie, Adisyn, Danika and Jordyn and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Friday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) where Funeral Services will begin at 7:00 p.m. Officiating will be Louis' niece, Pastor Becky V. Bolander.
