Louis Langlois

Louis F. "Louie" Langlois, 78, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008. He was born March 22, 1930 to Charles and Rosalind (White) Langlois in Toledo. Louie was a Toledo Police Officer, retiring after 28 years of dedicated service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during the Korean Conflict. Louie was a member of the Toledo Police Retirees, Fraternal Order of Police and American Legion Post #512. His passions included cooking and tending his vegetable garden. Louie had a wonderful sense of humor and will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him.

Louie is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kay Langlois; sons, Chris Langlois and Don (Pam) Burch; daughters, Brooke Langlois and Shawn (Scott) Jacobs; grandchildren, M. David, Richard, Daniel, Nicholas, Jazmyne and Isiah; brothers, Charles (Betty), David (Betty) and Kenny Langlois; sisters, Ruth (William) Hoyle and Donna Mae (Rudy) Lancalotta; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania. Please meet at the front gates shortly before 10:00 a.m.

Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the Toledo Retired Police Organization or the American Heart Association.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Regency Hospital of Toledo for all of their loving care and support given to Louie and his family through this difficult time.
