Louis "Lou" Krolak, Jr.,81, of Erie, Michigan, passed away peacefully, Monday, October 21, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice Residence. He was born on November 28, 1931 to Louis Sr. and Anna (Stelmach) Krolak in Petersburg, Michigan.
Lou worked for Canada Dry, Great Lakes Distribution and retired from Washington Local Schools. He was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Lou enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was an avid Whitmer Panthers Football fan. Lou loved the time spent with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin and Eugene Krolak. Lou is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Carol Ann Krolak; children, Rick Krolak, Pat Elliott, Mike (Jeannette) Krolak, Alice (Cliff) Schrein and Mary (Rod) Schwartz; grandchildren, Dave and Matt (Lori) Speegle, Andy (Tiffany) Duran, Randi (Tim) Langenderfer, Michael (Heather) Krolak, Louie Krolak, Mitch (Kelli) Krolak and Jake and Jack Schwartz and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3934 W. Laskey. Family and friends may visit from 9-10:00 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
