Louis J. Zmudzinski, Jr., age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Point Place Care and Rehab. He was born on November 25, 1931 to Louis, Sr. and Anna Zmudzinski in Toledo. Louis was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly in the Korean War. After returning from the war he worked most of his years at Surface Combustion and Hunt & Wesson Foods, retiring in 1996. He was also a proud member of the VFW Post 5530. Louis will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria McMillin and several brothers and sisters. Louis is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Betty; daughter, Sandra (James) Brooks; son, Louis III (Rhonda); 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Lawrence (Liz); and canine companion, Sammi.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Prayers will begin in the funeral home Monday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Regina Coeli Catholic Church, 530 Regina Pkwy., Toledo. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
