Louis Codagnone

Louis "Lou" Codagnone Jr., age 81, went to join his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 29, 1930 to Louis and Mary (Frarr) Codagnone in Marion County, West Virginia. Lou proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He married his loving wife, Margie M. (Cantley) Codagnone in Angola, Indiana. Lou was an accomplished barber, having owned Campus Barber Shop on Bancroft St. for 54 years. He also attended services for many years at Shelton Park Church of God. Lou enjoyed dancing, fishing, throwing horseshoes and cornhole. His family will remember him as a devoted husband and a hard worker who always put his family's needs first. He will be dearly missed.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Margie; son, Joe (Paula) McGorman; sister, Mary Kay Codagnone; grandchildren, Becky, Bobbie and Louis E. Codagnone Jr. ; great-grandchildren, Nick, Noah, Drew and Tyler Adams; nieces, Joann Bishoff, Joyce Burnette, Pam and Mary Ann; very special niece, Anne (Bob) Gardner; special nephew, Timmy Gardner and many dear nieces and nephews who meant the world to Lou and Margie; In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Louis E. "Gene" Codagnone and William P. McGorman.

The family will receive guests Monday from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Park Church of God, 6957 Summerfield Rd., Temperance, Michigan, where the family will receive guests one hour prior to the service. Pastor Scott Isham officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
