Louis C. "Lou" Kutz, age 66, of Maumee, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was born on February 8, 1945 to Norman Sr. and Helen (Ansted) Kutz in Toledo. Lou was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving our country proudly in the Vietnam War. He worked as a conductor for the railroad and then retired from Ford Motor Company after 32 ½ years of service. Lou loved fishing and hunting and anything outdoors. He also enjoyed traveling and camping. He attended Cedar Creek Church. Lou loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Baldwin. Lou is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Donna (Buser) Kutz; son, Nathan Kutz; siblings, Richard (Marlene) Kutz, Pat Bucher, Mildred Mates, Shirley Bancroft, Marlene Stiltner, Donna Krego, Norm Kutz, Jr. and James Kutz; and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
