Loretta Dean

Loretta Dean, 74, died on January 25, 2008. She was born in Morgan County, Kentucky to John and Cora Ross. Although she lived in Toledo most of her life, she called Kentucky her home. Loretta was a selfless, loving, fiercely devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She considered her family her purpose in life. Loretta was their heart and soul and will be sadly missed. She also had a love for history, reading and music.

Loretta is survived by her sons: George, Jr. (Dogk-Cha), Michael (Tamara), Brian (Nanette) and Kenneth Dean; daughters: Susan Perkins and Lorna (Al) Richardson; 14 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and her dearest friend: Sharlene Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Dean, Sr.

There will be no visitation for Loretta and services will be private. The Newcomer Funeral Home, (419-473-0300) assisted the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
