Loreta Jaquay
November 13, 1942 — December 8, 2021
Loreta "MawMaw" Jaquay, age 79, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a long fight, on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at St. Anne's Mercy Hospital. She was born on November 13, 1942, in the Philippines.
Loreta previously worked at Magic Wok, which she loved and enjoyed. She was a member of the Filipino Association. Loreta looked forward to family get-togethers. She liked cooking, especially shrimp fried rice, parties, family reunions and cookouts. She enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially canasta. Family was very important to Loreta. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to forever cherish her memory are her loving husband, Ronald Jaquay, whom she married on March 14, 1970; children, Vivian (Matthew) Jaquay-Zak and RJ Jaquay; grandchildren, Brandon Zak, Courtney Jaquay, Chelsea Zak, Haley Jaquay, Kylie Jaquay, Jordyn Jaquay, Carter Jaquay, Mia Jaquay; great grandchildren, Kyleigh Garand-Zak, Madelyn Zak, and Cooper Zak; and brother, George Enales.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Nicole Zak; and father and mother-in-law, Gordon and Vivian Jaquay.
Family and friends may visit at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. A private family service will take place at a later date.
