Lorenzo Arcos Diaz Sr.

Lorenzo A. Diaz Sr., age 78 of Toledo passed away Friday, January 14, 2011surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 5, 1932 to Bernardo and Maria (Arcos) Diaz in San Antonio, Texas. For over 27 years Lorenzo worked for Ford Motor Company as a welder, later retiring in 1994.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James, daughter, Sue and two sisters. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Joanne L. Diaz; children, Larrietta (Eralio) Hinojoza, Bernardo (Karen) Diaz, Theodore Harrison, Lorenzo Diaz, Josefina Diaz and James (Sierra) Diaz; 15 grandchildren;6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Josefina (Arturo) Castro, Martha (Hector) Pelaez and Dolores Rodriquez; brother, Viviano (Patricia) Diaz and 21 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
