Loran Breeland

September 14, 1929 — January 9, 2013

Lt. Loran V. Breeland was freed of his long struggle with illness on January 9, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, in Perrysburg. Loran was born to James and Agnes Breeland September 14, 1929. Loran served his country in the U.S. Navy for 26 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Scott Breeland. Survived by his best friend and wife, Virginia, and their girl Ginger, brother, Oran (Marilyn) Breeland, children, Mark (Shirley) Breeland, Missy Mitchell, Elizabeth Kutkut, Susan Kelly, Troy (Ginny) Breeland, Loran Breeland, Jr., Douglas (Pat) Wilson, Dale (Bronne) Wilson, Dennis (Audra) Wilson and admiring granddaughter, Crystall (Ryan) Watson. Loran leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

My grandfather was a man of many journeys and accomplishments; a helpful, honest, hard-working man who loved his family. I love him for loving my gram, and loving her family as his own. I will forever be grateful for what he has done for all of us. We'll miss his stories, his big laugh and knowing that he would always tell it like it is; and as long as I live, and as simple as the message may seem, I will do as he always told me to: "be good."

We would like to extend our great appreciation to the people of Hospice of Perrysburg, they were just wonderful and made this experience more pleasant than we thought possible, and to our special friend, Duran Cloutsy for all his selfless acts of kindness and help during this, and all times; we can't thank you enough.
