Loralei Jean Torres

Loralei J. Torres, age 72 of Toledo passed away Monday, January 24, 2011 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital with her family by her side. She was born April 8, 1938 to Arthur and Ruth (Brewer) McFarland. Loralei was an avid bingo player, playing whenever she had the chance. In her spare time she enjoyed watching soap operas, especially Young and the Restless.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Norma LaCourse, Dianna (Dean Perry) Owens, Pamela (Greg) Gilmore, Gary Torres and E. Manuel Torres; step-daughters, Susie (Leon) Barnes, Becky (Lucky) Torres and Annie Stokes; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and many step children and step-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Jose Torres; son, Dwayne Gilmore; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

The family will receive guests Friday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
