Lonnie "Bud" Losh, age 89, passed peacefully on December 24, 2021. Bud was born and raised in Webster Springs, WV, where he spent his childhood adventuring through the mountains with his siblings. It was in 1952 that Bud met the love of his life, Loretta and they were married in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and when he returned home moved his family to Toledo. Bud worked for several different companies, always showing his knack for solving mechanical problems. He retired after 30 years from MetalTec Steel. Bud loved to be outside and spent many days fishing with his kids and grandkids. He loved baseball as well and spent many years coaching and watching his kids and grandkids play. Above all else, Bud was a kind and loving man. His love ran deep for his friends and family. His greatest joy was loving his wife of 68 years, Loretta who joined him 36 hours later on Dec. 26, 2021.
Their love will live on through their children, Ann Brittian, Mike (Deb), and Mark (Shari); daughter-in-law, Leslie Losh; as well as their 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; 3 sisters; and many other family members and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ken Losh; sons-in-law, Jim Brittian and Joel Frey; and many siblings.
There will be no visitation at this time for Bud. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Bud and Loretta.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Toledo Humane Society.
