Lois R. Precht

Lois R. Precht, age 78 of Toledo passed away surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. She was born June 10, 1932 to Edward and Nellie (Rose) Sparks in Dayton, Ohio. Lois was a graduate of Whitmer High School, Class of 1950. She married Irvin D. Precht on May 8, 1954 in Toledo and they spent 56 wonderful years together. Lois worked at various banks in the Toledo area, the latest was First Federal Bank where she retired from in 1987. Lois and her husband enjoyed traveling the United States in their motor home and being snowbirds in Eustis, Florida for the last 21 years. Lois was also a member of Reformation Lutheran Church for many years.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Irvin; son, David Precht; daughters, Cindy (Dave) Bishop and Diane McGhee; brothers, Paul (Rita) Sparks and Don (Faye) Sparks; grandchildren, Brandon, Ryan and Lindsey McGhee; Todd and Kim McGee and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her brother, Dale Sparks.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). The family will also receive guests on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home Monday at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Stephen Bull officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Lois' team of caregivers from hospice for the diligent care they provided.
