Lois Yvonne Pleiss

Lois Yvonne Pleiss, age 92, of Toledo, Ohio, peacefully passed away on October 25, 2024 surrounded by her beloved children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Born on May 15, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was the cherished daughter of John and Ruth (Wall) Patterson.

An avid shopper, she lovingly passed down her unique shopping technique of "buy and hide" to her grandchildren. Her love for cinema and weekly bridge games brought joy to her life, while her involvement in the Town Club reflected her warmth in welcoming others into the community, fostering friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Preceded in death by her devoted husband, Albert Anthony Pleiss, and her beloved son, David Bryan Pleiss, Lois leaves behind a legacy of love and connection. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela J. (Joe) Heudecker and Robin M. Waite; grandchildren, Brandy L. (Steve) Robinson, Richard A. (Pam Pennington) Corron, Russ (Camille) Waite, Dan (Laura) Waite, and Alexandra (Jeff) Ingram; her great-grandchildren, Crystal (Bo) Steele, Steven Robinson, Andrew Gwozdz, Juliet (Chris McCord) Corron, Jordan Gwozdz, Carter Waite, Brooklyn Waite, Cason Waite, Jaden Szlzwedel, Christian Stewart, and Payton Stewart; and great-great-grandchildren, Aaliyah McCord, Alana Ingram, Salem Steele, Kadence Steele, Harvey Robinson, and two more on the way. Among her many cherished friends, Lois held a special bond with Barb Bins, who was a steadfast presence in her life and the lives of her family.

Lois's absence will be deeply felt, yet her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, laughter, and cherished moments, and she will forever remain a guiding light in the lives of her family.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, Ohio.
