Lois Mcgovern

January 19, 1925 — January 24, 2013

Lois "Peggy McGovern, 88, crossed over on January 24, 2013. She was born on January 19, 1925 to the late Raymond and Annie Qualls in Poteau, Oklahoma.

Lois was one of the "Rosie the Riveters" of the 1940s supporting the war-time efforts. She married Robert McGovern on April 7, 1945. Lois retired from Libbey Glass after 20 years of service. After retirement, Lois and Robert went on many trips visiting casinos around the country. Family was very important to Lois and she always enjoyed having everyone over for the holidays.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her son, Tim McGovern. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 67 years, Robert; children, Bobbie Meck, Sue (Michael) Mann, Chris McGovern, Betsy (Scott) Smith; grandchildren, Michael (Kim), Matthew (Cynthia), William, Brian, Michele, Bill, Tony, Christopher and great-grandchildren, Sebastian, Sophie, Justin and Jennah.

The family will receive guests from 2-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
