Lois Lucile Hart, age 84, of Toledo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the home of her daughter, Pamela, on Saturday, April 18th, 2009. She was born February 18th, 1925 to Edward and Lucile (Prutsman) Forrest in Chicago, Illinois. Lois was a longtime resident of Lambertville, Michigan before moving to Toledo. She attended Lambertville United Methodist Church and Unity Church where she volunteered for many years. Lois was a loving grandmother and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling and Scouting in her younger years. More recently her interests included lunches with her cousins once a month, attending the Sylvania Senior Citizen Ceramic Classes and St. Anne's Cancer Support Group.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of twenty years, Donald L. Hart; son, Clifford L. Hart and sister, Barbara A. Polodna. Lois is survived by her children, Deborah Marie (Konrad) Brushaber of Temperance, MI; James L. (Nancy) Thayer-Hart of Sun Prairie, WI and Pamela G. Vastag of Sylvania, OH; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Pilon; Nicholas (Casey) Brushaber and Heidi Vastag; great-grandchildren, Madison and Zachary; cousin, Shirley Rotterdam; high school friend, Marcille Krueger; dear friend, Stan Patryak and many extended family members and friends.
The family will receive guests Thursday, April 23, from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday, April 24, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Tom Zimmerman. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
