Lois E. Landis

Lois E. Landis, age 92, of Sylvania, passed away November 27, 2021 at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Sylvania. She was born August 25, 1929 in Stoystown, Pennsylvania to Clark and Frances (Gendelsberger) Fish. Lois met and married the love of her life, Calvin Landis on February 26, 1948 and soon after they moved to Toledo and raised their five sons.

Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, cherishing time spent with family celebrating anything from special occasions and holidays to small family dinners and gatherings. As you can imagine raising five sons kept Lois and Calvin busy from sunrise to sunset and the activities and responsibilities were things Lois took seriously making sure her boys felt loved and supported throughout their lives. Cooking was something she enjoyed and her family was always grateful for her ability to turn everyday ingredients into tasty dishes.

Lois will be fondly remembered for her giving heart and friendly smile and how she always put others needs before her own.

In addition to her parents, Lois was also preceded in death by her loving of husband of 73 years, Calvin Landis. She is survived by her Son, Dennis Landis, beloved son, Alan D. Landis and her seven brothers & sisters. Lois is survived by her loving sons, Ryan Landis of Sylvania, Roger (Kathryn) Landis of Toledo, Dennis (Julie) Landis of Toledo and Scott R. Landis of Toledo; grandchildren, Roger (Karen) Landis II, Jeremy James Landis, Christopher Brent (Rochelle) Landis, Ryan Landis, Rachel Landis, Hayley Erin Landis, Dennis John Landis, Jennifer Renee Landis, Steven Landis, Rob Landis and Shawn Landis; great grandchildren, Sammy and Ellie Landis, Mario and Julia Wallace and Emerson,Celeste and Delaney Hernandez, sister, Gloria (Fred).

There will be a private gathering with family at Springfield Township Cemetery, Holland Ohio.
